The collection
Working with traditional fabrics such as silk and velvet ikat, suzani, and embroidery, each collection begins with the unique character of its materials.
Each piece follows the same silhouette and construction, while fabric, embroidery, patchwork, and pattern placement vary. Images are representative; no two pieces are exactly alike.
Our bags are developed in collaboration with each retail partner. Buyers select the styles and fabrics that best suit their store, and we produce the collection to order. As pattern placement varies across the textiles, each bag has its own individual character.

Our story
We started Motife as two childhood friends who had each built businesses in different fields.
Motife is rooted in Turkey - our home, and a place where textiles are made with exceptional skill. We are proud of that origin, but our focus is not nostalgia. It is what these fabrics can become today.
The result is a collection with a clear identity: expressive, bold and distinctive without chasing novelty.
